Microgynon helps women avoid the case of having babies in three
different ways. What the drug does is that it tricks the human body into
thinking that pregnancy has happened and doesn't allow the release of
the eggs thereof. The drug also allows the thickening of the cervical
mucus, which means double the effort for the sperm to reach the egg. The
womb lining can also be altered by using this drug and the chances of
the egg being implanted in the womb comes down to a great extent when
Microgynon is used, say doctors.
Most would like to know when it would be a safe time to use
Microgynon. Doctors say if you want no pregnancy, the drug should be
taken right from the moment the menses starts, which is from day one.
Studies have shown that if you do as said, the chances of getting
pregnant can be avoided and hence pregnancy can be bid goodbye to for
the moment. But in some cases, studies have also showed that the pill
can be taken easily even until the 5th day of the current menses cycle.
However, doctors say, it is not good to delay more than that, or else
other contraceptive methods would need to be used, such as a condom,
rather than Microgynon.
Even twenty one days after having your baby, you can start taking
Microgynon. But doctors say it would be nice to use other contraceptives
as well when you start this process, at last for the first seven days
after giving birth. The drug is very helpful for most girls and women,
especially if they have had an abortion or sadly a case of miscarriage.
Your doctor would be able to tell you more about the benefits; we have
only stated a few on a generalized count. Remember, your doctor's words
would take precedence over what is told and written here, so please heed
his advice on Microgynon usage any day more than what we have told you
here.
There are side effects when you use Microgynon and hence it is said
and advised by doctors never to go overboard with the usage. You
shouldn't ever deviate from the dosage which the doctor has asked you to
follow. Be very strict with yourself and follow the doctors guidelines
on the usage of the drug to the core. When you do use the drug for the
first time, there could be side effects, minor to medium effects that
would include feeling nauseous, headaches, aches of the body, weight
fluctuations, tenderness of the breasts, change of the way you bleed
during your periods and cycles as well. However, there is good news and
that is when you use Microgynon you would have the side effects but not
for long. If they do persist longer than what your doctor told you
about, please contact your doctor for further advice.
We hope you have understood well enough the uses of Microgynon and
how it can help you prevent pregnancies. But we still would ask you to
get in touch with your doctor, for he is a specialist and his words
would take command any day over what we have said here. Microgynon
dosage should be followed strictly with his advise, and not by your own
whims and fancies.
